Our complete mouth rehabilitations have rebuilt much more than just teeth.

Gum Disease and Hygiene

Your ongoing hygiene and addressing gum disease is the most important work done in our clinic. Maintaining good oral health saves many teeth and gives you the chance to keep your smile for life.

Root Canal Therapy

A root canal is a treatment used to treat and save a tooth that is infected. During a root canal procedure, the pulp (nerve and blood supply) is removed and the inside of the tooth is cleaned and sealed. Without treatment, the bone and gums surrounding the tooth will become infected and abscesses may form. Root canal treatment is usually completed over a period of three appointments.

Tooth Coloured Restorations (Fillings)

Fillings are required when a tooth is chipped, decayed or badly worn down and no longer able to function to its full strength. We primarily use tooth coloured ‘white’ fillings (composite resin) and occasionally metal (amalgam) fillings depending on the situation. Our goal is always to preserve your natural teeth and return them to normal function and appearance.

Teeth Whitening

Teeth Whitening is a safe and effective treatment to brighten your smile. Our practice uses the take-home “Tray System” as well as an in office ‘Gel system’, as these methods are proven scientifically to be the most effective, longest lasting, safest and cheapest options. Our dentists and hygienist can advise which option will help deliver the best results for your mouth.

Snoring & Sleep Apnoea

Sleep apnoea is a condition which involves breaks in normal breathing patterns during sleep due to airway obstruction. One of the many signs is snoring. There are many health and dental issues associated with sleep apnoea.

Dentures

A denture is a removable appliance designed to replace missing teeth. Dentures are either made of metal (cobalt chrome) or acrylic resin with each being better suited to different situations. Dentures are either complete (replacing all teeth in the upper and/or lower jaw) or partial (replacing one or several teeth).

Mouthguards

Everyday life can be hard enough on our teeth let alone physical sports. A custom made mouthguard is the best way to protect your teeth while keeping active. Our in-house lab will fit of your mouthguard specific to you making it more comfortable, limiting the chance of it falling out and much easier to talk with when compared to non-fitted mouthguards (Boil-and-bite, stock mouthguards).

Ceramic Restorations

Ceramic restorations are a type of restorative material which provides more strength and durability compared to the traditional composite resin restorations. In cases where there is little tooth structure remaining or heavier biting forces, a ceramic restoration will provide more strength and a longer lasting final restoration.

Fun Fact:

Generally foods and drinks that are high in sugar and acid are harmful to tooth enamel. Acidic foods and drinks (soft drinks, citric juices, sports drinks) can cause tooth erosion while high sugar content is more likely to contribute to tooth decay (cavities).
